Customer Experience
Riverwood Homes is committed to making your home-buying experience pleasant and painless. From pre-construction until the end of your warranty period, we provide personal, attentive service. We understand that buying a house is often an unfamiliar and overwhelming experience, but we will guide you through the process. Our customers are the reason we are in business, and every home buyer is valued and appreciated. We are constantly listening to our customers and striving to improve as a company to provide better service and a better product. We try to make the process simple and avoid any unpleasant surprises along the way to make sure our home buyers think of their home as the best decision they made for years to come.
Build Process
Pre-Construction
We like to meet with the buyer before signing a contract to discuss our process and policies and make sure we are a good fit for each other. Buyers are free to choose any of our floor plans that will fit on their chosen lot in a community where we build. We offer multiple floor plans to accommodate singles, couples, and families of various sizes and ages. While we do not allow buyers to make significant structural changes to our plans, we do allow some minor modifications during the design phase to personalize the home to meet your specific needs. Our homes come with an impressive standard package, eliminating the need to upgrade or remodel later. Still, we do have available upgrades and add-ons for those who want more than our standard features. Home buyers are also allowed to choose their colors and fixtures from our showroom and to customize the landscape plan. For items that are typically purchased after you close the home (fridge, washer and dryer, window blinds, etc.) we allow buyers to roll that into your mortgage to avoid having to pay out of pocket later.
Construction
During construction, we meet with our buyers periodically at the job site to review the progress of the house, discuss upcoming milestones, and answer any questions the buyers have. We like to meet onsite during rough-ins, trim carpentry, and tile work to talk about the buyers' preferences and correct any mistakes or oversights. We give our buyers access to the online job schedule and weekly progress photos so they can stay informed throughout the building process.
Post-Construction
Before we pass off the home to you, we perform our own quality assurance inspections and complete all items on the punch list. We’ll meet with you to explain the functionality of your house and provide tips and reminders about the ongoing maintenance that will be required of you. We walk through the house together and mark any remaining blemishes with blue tape to correct before closing. Our personalized service extends through the warranty period, and we make it easy to contact us and submit claims for warranty work.
