Build Process

Riverwood Homes knows that the home buying process can be overwhelming and stressful. We try to simplify this process and maintain communication from start to finish.

Initial Search

The first step toward purchasing a Riverwood Home is determining your budget and obtaining pre-qualification from a preferred lender. We offer incentives through lenders such as Homebridge and Peak Mortgage.

Your next step is to define your preferred search area. Our community map helps with this, allowing you to visualize where we are currently building and to see if any of those locations fit your parameters.

After determining your desired area, you will be ready to decide whether a move-in ready home or a build-order home will be right for you. Our broad range of floor plans and our available options and upgrades allow us to meet a broad range of housing needs.

Contact a Sales Representative

Meeting with one of our realtors allows them to provide you with the information you need to finalize your decision. Our realtors can walk you through one of our completed homes and answer any questions you may have. The listing agent can provide pricing and explain any of the home's included features. Riverwood strives to provide a simple, transparent pricing system to all of our customers to make selection simple.

We are happy to schedule a meeting with you to answer your questions and discuss the construction process.

Pre-Construction

Once under contract, you will have the opportunity to meet with our team to review your plans and make selections, including cabinet color and style, counter top material and color, flooring selections, plumbing and lighting fixtures, etc. We also have floorplan-specific options and a list of available upgrades to chose from.

After final approval of selections and plans, an application for a building permit will be submitted to the proper authorities for review. Once we submit for a building permit we do not allow any changes to the plans or product selections.

Construction Period

During constructions we provide you with access to the job schedule, and we provide periodic updates and progress photos. We schedule meetings with you to discuss the progress of the house and to anwer your questions. For safety and liability reasons, we ask that you do not visit the job site during construction when not accompanied by a Riverwood Homes representative.

Closing

After your new home is constructed, we perform a rigorous quality inspection before inviting you, the new owner, to walk through the house and inspect the craftsmanship. Riverwood will then complete any remaining touch-ups and will provide you with detailed instructions on how to best care for your new home.

Now this is the really exciting part! You are ready to sign your closing documents and take ownership of your new home! Our preferred title closing partners are: Empire Title and First American Title. Our title partners share our values for quality and customer service, so you can rest assured that there won't be any surprises.

We will take care of you after your move-in too! Our warranty covers any defects, up to a year after closing, to put you at ease and let you enjoy your new home.
